Aughnanure Castle is a well-preserved 16th-century Irish tower house located near Lough Corrib. It was built by the O'Flaherty family and features a unique double bawn, bastions, and a dry harbor. Visitors can explore the castle grounds, including a banqueting hall and watchtower, and guided tours are available upon request. The castle is open from February to November, with restricted access for visitors with disabilities. Photography and video are allowed with a permit for commercial purposes. Admission rates range from €3 to €5, with discounts for seniors and groups.
