Business Description

Billy Byrnes Bar and Guesthouse is excited to present The Sofa Sessions, a series of concerts curated by Irish Times jazz critic Cormac Larkin. The series showcases instrumental music rarely heard in Kilkenny, ranging from jazz and blues to folk, funk, and hip hop. The common thread among the performances is the high level of instrumental skill displayed by the musicians. The goal of The Sofa Sessions is to provide a relaxed and intimate setting for music enthusiasts to enjoy live performances up close. The concerts aim to create an experience similar to that of a downtown Manhattan jazz club, where patrons can sit, listen, and appreciate the music while also enjoying a drink and conversation. Billy Byrnes Bar and Guesthouse offers great value bed and breakfast accommodations for those attending The Sofa Sessions.
