Located in East Meath near Stamullen, the farm grows strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. The business started with just ten drills of strawberries in 1960 and quickly expanded. In 1983, Pat introduced the El Santa Strawberry variety, which now accounts for 80% of all strawberry production in Ireland. The introduction of polythene tunnels, particularly the latest design known as "Cosy Tunnels," has protected the fruit and extended the growing season. The farm uses certified plants, organic compost, and biological pest control for successful growth. The strawberries are stem-picked, minimizing handling and ensuring freshness. The fruit production season lasts from May to November, and the farm also produces jams made from their 100% Irish fruit. Clarke's Fresh Fruit continues the tradition of growing and stem-picking their fruit on the family farm in Stamullen, Co. Meath.
