Business Description

Create is a national development agency that supports artists in creating exceptional art with communities. They work with a wide range of groups, including neighborhood organizations, chess clubs, and farmers, to foster collaboration between artists and different partners and audiences. Create encourages art that takes place outside of traditional gallery or theater spaces and challenges notions of authorship and the artist-genius. They offer professional development, advisory sessions, and learning opportunities for artists and arts organizations, and manage the Artist in the Community Scheme for the Arts Council. Create believes that collaborative arts can address urgent social, cultural, and political issues and aims to enable artists and communities to create exceptional art together.
