    Business Description

    Donegal Golf Club, founded in 1959, initially had its golf course and clubhouse located on the outskirts of Donegal Town at Tullycullion. The Temple family, owners of Magee & Co., granted the club the land for this course. However, in the early 1970s, members recognized the potential of the Murvagh Peninsula's links land for a golf course. The club leased the land from the Department of Lands and hired renowned golf course designer Eddie Hackett to create an 18-hole course. The new course and clubhouse were officially opened in 1976. Over the years, the course underwent several changes and remodeling, mostly under the guidance of Pat Ruddy. In 1997, the original clubhouse was demolished and replaced with the current structure, which was opened in May 1998. The club's history began with a group of local men meeting at the Donegal Courthouse and has since evolved into a prestigious golfing destination.
