Business Description

First Fortnight is a charity-based organization that aims to challenge mental health prejudice through the creative arts. By creating a space for non-scripted conversations about mental health, we hope to change people's perceptions and end the stigma surrounding mental health issues. With one in four people expected to experience a mental health problem in their lifetime, our goal is to make the First Fortnight of each year synonymous with mental health awareness. Since our establishment in 2009, we have organized an annual two-week arts festival and have also become a mental health service provider through the First Fortnight Centre for Creative Therapies. Currently, our center employs two psychotherapists who provide art therapy to individuals experiencing homelessness and mental ill-health in Dublin.
