LauraLynn is Ireland's only children's hospice, providing care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. With over 1,400 children in Ireland living with these conditions and 350 passing away each year, LauraLynn plays a vital role in providing home support, respite, crisis, transitional, and end-of-life care. However, the hospice receives no government funding and relies entirely on fundraisers to stay operational. They need to raise €2.9M annually to continue their services and expand their LauraLynn@HOME program nationwide. Donations of different amounts can directly contribute to specialist nursing care, respite stays, and training workshops for carers. All costs for this charity event are being donated by participating photographers, and 100% of every donation goes directly to LauraLynn. Since 2006, the Irish Professional Photographers & Videographers Association's fundraising initiative has raised over €500,000 for various charities, including Angels Quest, DEBRA Ireland, Children's University Hospital, Temple Street, The Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland, the Jack and Jill Foundation, the ISPCC, and now LauraLynn.
