Located by the river Gweestin, the mill harnesses the river's power to produce electricity and uses the water for dying and scouring wool. With vertical production, the mill is one of only two left in the country. On-site, the wool is dyed, blended, carded, and spun into yarns, with typical fleck yarn recipes containing 8-14 different colors for vibrant results. The mill also designs and weaves tweeds, throws, and other products for classic and contemporary fashions. In addition, the mill shop offers a wide range of woven and knitted products, including 30+ colors of Aran knitting wool. Visitors to the shop can witness the carding and spinning process from the viewing area.
