Business Description
The RNLI Lifeboat Station at Dunmore East operates an all-weather Trent class lifeboat, the Elizabeth and Ronald. Introduced in 1994, this 14m long lifeboat is designed to lie afloat at deep-water moorings or at a berth. It shares the same hull shape as the larger Severn class but is a smaller version. The Trent class lifeboat has a range of 250 nautical miles and a top speed of 25 knots. It weighs 27.5 tonnes and can accommodate a crew of 6. Constructed with a fibre reinforced composite, the lifeboat's propellers are protected, allowing it to take ground without damage.
