Founded in 1878 in Nenagh, County Tipperary, it has a rich history and has been owned by various individuals from different counties in Ireland. Despite facing challenges during the economic recession in the 1930s, the business was eventually closed and transformed into a family home. In 1994, the premises were purchased, restored, and relocated to its current location in Rathmines. Rody Bolands is committed to providing high-quality food and drinks that complement the authentic atmosphere of a traditional Irish bar and grocery. The bar offers an extensive cocktail menu, shows high-definition sports on multiple TVs, and features a live DJ and late bar on Thursdays to Sundays. The pub itself is Victorian-style with wooden-beamed eaves, adorned with bicycles on the walls, and has a vibrant party vibe.
