Rosemary Mc Gowan, the owner of Rosie's Pottery Studio, has a keen interest in ceramics and craft that began from an early age. She attended the Craft Council's Pottery Skills Course in Thomastown Kilkenny, where she learned how to work with clay and productive throw. Rosemary has since worked with various experienced potters, including Michael Kennedy in Gort, Co. Galway, and Quaystone Pottery in Ballina, Co. Mayo, which has allowed her to practice new and exciting techniques. Currently, she is exploring the method of Raku pottery in her own workshop. Rosie's Pottery Studio is located in the coastal village of Easkey, Co. Sligo.
