St Macartan's College

St. Macartan's College, founded in 1840, has a rich history of providing education to boys in North Monaghan and surrounding areas. Originally a boarding school, it has evolved into a modern post-primary school with over 700 students. The school offers a wide range of subjects for both the Junior and Leaving Certificates, with some compulsory subjects including Religion, English, Irish, and Maths. St. Macartan's also has a strong focus on sports, participating in various competitions and offering programs in golf, soccer, handball, basketball, and athletics. The school has an active student council that represents the views of the student body.
