    The Fisherman's Thatched Inn is a traditional Irish pub located in Co Laois, Ireland. It is known for hosting some of the best traditional Irish music sessions every Tuesday night. The inn is situated on an ancient crossroads that was once the main highway between Tara and Cashel, with historical significance dating back to St. Patrick's travels in 450 A.D. It is also located next to the Grand Canal, which was a major transportation route for Guinness boats in the 19th century. The inn is proud to be part of the Irish Whiskey Trail, offering a wide selection of whiskeys including Scotch and Japanese varieties. In addition to its historical and cultural offerings, the Fisherman's Thatched Inn is a gathering place for various local clubs and activities, such as the Gun Club, Fishing Club, Camera Club, Gardening Club, Bridge Club, Ladies Club, and local talented musicians. The inn reopened in July 2020 after the Covid-19 pandemic.
