Business Description
MART is an artist initiative founded in 2006 with the aim of creating a platform for new media, installation, sculpture, experimental film, and performance artists. The organization is committed to breaking down boundaries in the visual arts and inspiring curiosity and education through art. MART's website serves as Ireland's largest video art library and collection of active Irish visual artists, showcasing contemporary art and providing educational resources. MART engages with a diverse audience, including artists, curators, collectors, organizations, and enthusiasts, through workshops, talks, exhibitions, and artist-led events. The organization also supports individual artists and curators in hosting their own exhibitions. MART has successfully exhibited the work of over 300 artists and reached an audience of over 30,000 in Ireland, the U.K, Central Eastern Europe, and North America. In 2012, MART established its first permanent gallery and studios, 'THE MART', in Dublin, serving as a hub for local, national, and international art endeavors.
