Business Description
The Oval is a historic pub located on the corner of South Main Street and Tuckey Street in Cork. Built in 1917 by the Beamish and Crawford brewery, it features a stunning interior ceiling and is known for its beautiful pints. The pub's Sino-Celtic style, reminiscent of Mackintosh, was custom designed by an Edinburgh-based firm of architects. It is the only pub in Cork to be included on a list of important 20th Century buildings in the city. Despite its age, the Oval remains in its original condition and is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. It is also rumored to be haunted due to its extensive history.
