    Business Description

    The Thatch Lisselton is a family-run business located in North Kerry on the Wild Atlantic Way. Established in 1832, it is one of the few remaining thatched bars in Ireland. In June 2017, John O Connor, Joanne and Elaine Riordan took over the business from the O Sullivan family. The bar features a traditional style with an open fire and original pot and crane. A lounge and restaurant were added in 1993, with the restaurant currently being remodeled and expected to open in September 2017. The premises is conveniently situated between Listowel and Ballybunion, making it an ideal location for tourists visiting Ballybunion Golf Club or the beach, as well as visitors to the Listowel Races. Traditional music is a regular feature, particularly during Christmas time with the local wren boys. The Thatch Lisselton is also a popular venue for parties and functions. Additionally, it operates as a gastro pub, serving food on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holiday Mondays, with an extensive menu including Sunday Lunch and a Kids Menu.
