Business Description
Tom Hennessy & Sons is a family-run funeral business that was founded by Thomas Hennessy in 1895. Originally located in Rose Lane, Waterford City, the business later moved to its current premises in Johnstown. Thomas and his wife Mary Josephine successfully operated the funeral and hackney business for 60 years. After Thomas' passing in 1955, Mary Jo and her son Tom continued running the business until their grandson Thomas took over in 1966. In the 1980s, Thomas, his wife Mary, and their son Michael built the Funeral Home in Johnstown. Today, Tom Hennessy & Sons Funeral Directors has been serving the families of Waterford City and County for over 100 years.
