Transformative Recovery College

Westmeath Transformative Recovery College is a not-for-profit community organization that was established in 2014 to address the growing mental health and wellness needs in the community. Our mission is to promote healthy and fulfilling lives for the people of the midlands, contributing to a fairer community where everyone can participate independently and receive support when needed. We offer a range of services including mental health and wellness education, group therapy, one-to-one counseling, music and creative arts therapy, and nutrition. Our classes have a minimal enrollment fee of €5 per term, and counseling and therapy are provided at low or no cost to enrolled students. Our programs are co-produced and co-delivered in collaboration with professionals and individuals with lived expertise in mental health. This approach promotes shared understanding, breaks down barriers, reduces stigma, and creates a supportive community. All programs are overseen by an External Quality Assurance Panel in accordance with the National Framework. For inquiries, please contact us at 085 143 0909 from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4:30 pm. Through a collaborative and co-produced approach, we aim to assist individuals in their recovery journey and increase knowledge, skills, and awareness of mental health within the community.
