    Tullynally Castle Gardens is a historic estate in County Westmeath, Ireland, that has been the home of the Pakenham family for over 350 years. The castle has undergone various renovations, transitioning from a fortified house to a Georgian mansion and eventually becoming a gothic revival castle. It is one of the largest privately owned homes in Ireland. The castle interiors feature a mix of Georgian and gothic revival styles, with a notable collection of furniture and artwork. Guided tours are available, including visits to the Victorian kitchens and laundries. The gardens span nearly 12 acres and include terraced lawns, 18th century parkland, woodland gardens, walled gardens, ornamental lakes, and various themed gardens such as a Chinese garden and a Tibetan garden. The gardens also offer an Adventure Trail for children and several summer houses and seats for visitors to relax and enjoy the views. The estate also features a tearoom offering homemade treats. Tullynally Castle Gardens is open to the public, with the gardens open from April 1st and castle tours available from May 5th.
