Wexford Equestrian Centre is a newly established equestrian venue that offers a range of facilities for horse enthusiasts. Our unique All Weather Cross Country Arena features over 60 obstacles, including banks, coffins, and water complexes, all on a safe sand and fibre surface. We also have an all-weather showjumping arena available for hire, as well as an indoor arena with additional amenities such as a canteen and horse washing facilities.   On Sunday 08/06/2025, my sister and I attended a show here. While most of the staff here were friendly, helpful and pleasant, we had a horrible experience with two of the judges. They were a father and daughter who were judging in ring 2.My sister was riding in 2 classes in ring 2, Race horse to riding horse and Amateur riding class. Both father and daughter were judging both classes. The first class went off without any snide comments or verbal attacks. The second class was a completely different experience. My sister suffered verbal abuse from the father while in the ring, she was late to the class due to two previous classes not going ahead. While we can appreciate that being late is not okay, my sister just wanted the opportunity to ride in it. The daughter had invited her into the ring before she got the opportunity to even ask if she would be permitted to enter. The father came to have a visual inspection of the horse. While he was having a look, he made a snide remark to my sister about her being late that very visibly upset her as she started to tear up. I politely and firmly explained the situation as to why she was late and he ignored us. After the results, the father made more snide remarks to my sister and saying that her horse is not a showing horse. the daughter came up after and said she would have liked to place her higher than last but couldn't due to being late. (we knew she wouldn't receive anything but last) She gave some good praise of the horse and left. My sister came out of the ring crying uncontrollably after what the father had said to her. My mother tried to talk to the judge about this and was met with nasty comments. We went to complain at reception about this treatment we were told to get over it and that's just life and nothing was going to be done about this. While complaining the daughter came out of the back and shouted at my mother and when my mother tried to leave the situation, the daughter then ran after her still shouting.
